I’m Sam Kaplan, the artist behind Thyme & Space Design, and I create handmade linocut prints, jewelry, patches, and stamps for introverts, nature lovers, and anyone still figuring it all out.

I draw from a variety of inspirations, including the movement of plants and water, the tension between opposites like day and night, and sparkly stuff. I believe strongly in creating and interacting with art as a tool for connecting with others, and I aim for my work to bring warmth, wonder, and recognition to everyday life.

I’ve always loved experimenting with a variety of artistic media, and I opened Thyme & Space Design in 2020 after falling in love with linocut printmaking and beaded jewelry making. I’m entirely self-taught, and I’m responsible for all artistic design, production, packaging, shipping, and more in my home studio.

When I’m not making art, I like taking my dog for long walks on the beach, doing puzzles with my partner, and caring for our dozens of houseplants.
